NIWeek

Information, updates and interviews by a few NI folks - unofficially

No, We're Still Here

Thought I would drop a quick note to say that we are still planning to get our video up on the site, but the effort to get the basic edits and posting are taking more time than we thought. Google has also added a wrinkle with a new "verification" step that needs to be completed. We might have to get creative :)

However, so far the conference seems to be going well. The big news, for me anyway, is the public release of LabVIEW 8.20 - the 20th anniversary edition. And while the new object-oriented feature is obviously a big addition (hear the podcast!), the feature my team worked on is the new Web Service Import Wizard. BTW - If you see it referred to as the .NET Web Service Import Wizard, please ignore that. We do use .NET under the covers, but the tool can work with web services written in any language or running on any platform. It's just the client code (i.e. you) that needs .NET.

Anyway, time to get back to the show. Hopefully we'll have some video for you very soon.
