Enso

Wow - what a find. I read about this product in the Wall Street Journal the other day, and just got around to trying it out myself...and I have to say, I'm pretty impressed...

Want to spellcheck any text in LabVIEW? Any other program?

Want to quickly switch between VIs? Any other windows?

Then you want to try Enso...

Enso is the product family (currently Words and Launcher) from Humanized. An interesting group of guys focusing on making software easier to use...GO GUYS!

But I'll let you read over the web site for all of that stuff. Let me just give you a couple of examples of Enso and LabVIEW that I just tried.

First, spell check. If you're like me, you live and die by MS Word's spell check. Heck, before Enso, I would copy-n-paste my post into Word (if I remembered) to double check the spelling, as TypePad doesn't currently have spell checking for its interface. But not anymore...

Once you have Enso Words installed, you simply highlight the text you want to check from anywhere, hold down the CAP LOCKS and type spellcheck. Actually, just sp as it auto completes for you.Ensowordslabview

Here is the auto completion

Ensowordslabviewcorrect And here it is telling me all is well with the world.

The other product is Enso Launcher, which allows you to control your computer with simple English phrases that you type out, just as you did with Spellcheck.

Ensolabview You can launch applications or switch between windows, and much more. Again, check out the website or try it yourself, but here is a very handy little feature for those of you working with dozens of VIs open at once...
