Product Suggestions

I've heard on the DevZone forum that the product suggestion center for NI is a big black hole - good ideas go in and nothing comes out. I can't say anything about years past since I wasn't around, but it isn't a black hole today.

As proof, this morning I received an email notification that someone had posted a suggestion to improve the .NET experience in LV (thank you!). The suggestion was made on the 27th of Jan, reviewed today and then assigned to me.

So, if you have an idea about LabVIEW - PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE submit a suggestion!

Seven Years Running!

It's always exciting around here when the news comes out that NI is one of the best places to work. But with the CES recently held, I found this to be the reason I love working here. It's just amazing to see where LabVIEW shows up.

Microsoft Security Issue

For those that haven't heard, there is a fairly serious security hole discovered in just about every version of Windows out there - including XP SP2. It involves the Windows Metafile Format (WMF) images, which can appear on any web page or email. If you get an "infected" WMF image, then rendering the image can allow code to run on your computer - incredible, but true.

The patch isn't going to be available until the 10th (there is debate in the community as to whether the latest AntiVirus patches could catch the infection), so you might want to read over the article to protect yourself. Also, if you are still running older versions such as Win98/Me, I believe Microsoft may not patch them...so, if you were looking for an excuse for a new computer *grin*...
